| demo review Strangely named Sachanovak hail from Cambridge and play even weirder music than their name suggests. One minute the boys appear to be a pushing the boundries prog band reminiscent of Feeder and other typical indie rock bands. The next minute, Sachanovak sound like a group of 15-year olds who have just discovered \"Relationship of Command\" by At the Drive-in and try to copycat the music, the result sounding like Zakk Wylde and Slash bumming the shit out of Omar Alfredo Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala.
\'Intro\' sounds promising with some interesting guitar rhythms and technicalities, but is then ruined by the unecessary dissonance the guitarists add in simply to either fill up the time, or pretend they are a an incredible prog band because they suddenly out of key. \'Sweet Mistress\' does nothing to give hope to the listener, sounding like a weird mash-up of blues mixed in with alternate rock, the guitars sound sluggish and the band can\'t seem to choose what genre they want to play, like a schizophrenic on smack (not to be considered a good thing in this instance). The Demo suddenly picks up with \'For Amy\', an interesting blend of exactly how the band describes themselves: \"A big healthy dollop of melodic hard rock, touch of prog rock, sprinkling of classic rock.\" Final track \'Unload\' I swear features some differnent main vocals which is a pleasant as they are in tune and slightly more inventive then it\'s predecessors.
Sachanovak claim that the feedback they have had so far has been very promising and the offers for gigs are \'starting to come in\'. The authenticy of the statement is debatable, but I feel sorry for whoever books this band, until they get their act together.
