| Having just signed to Fifty7 Music, the guys will be heading into the studio to record their third EP in April. In between recording and writing new material, Kill the Weekend are currently scheduled to play gigs in and around London in the coming months. With their EP due to be released on 6th August, expect a UK tour in support of that record.
Kill the Weekend was started three and a half years ago by drummer Alister Gibbons and guitarist George Munroe when they met at college. They quickly recruited Leigh Wyatt on guitar, and the beginnings of the band took form. After experiencing the turmoil of gaining and losing numerous other members, bassist Tommy Pool and vocalist Tim Leftwich were brought in to complete the final line-up of this passionate, energetic band.
With two EPs under their belt (and a third on the way!) along with numerous live gigs played over the band's three and a half year existence, Kill the Weekend are ready to take over the world! They've played with the likes of Funeral For A Friend, Skindred, and have even been on the line-up for Guilfest. They've played live on the BBC after releasing their single 'Strength In Innocence' for charity, and that certainly won't be the last time they'll be on the radio!
Kill the Weekend are a band who will stop at nothing to get to where they want to be. With their upcoming EP release and live dates, the band are set to become a well-known name very soon! |
